Vermont (VT) State Flag
The 14th state, admitted 1791
The Vermont VT flag, designed by Robert Temple, consists of a field of solid blue with the state coat of arms in the center. On the shield is a tall pine tree, a cow, sheaves of wheat and the Green Mountains in the distance. Before it became official, the flag was carried by Vermont soldiers in the Civil War and later wars.
